Chapter 1.43 Erin's Dream

Erin tried to forget what she saw.

It wasn't that she didn't love Thomas, of course she did. She would be lonely without him, and can't stand the thought of him not being there, but marriage scared her, a lot. She thought that he knew that, but apparently he didn't...

She kept thinking through whatever explanations there may be, but none of the ones she could think of made sense. She tried to distract herself from what was bothering her, the keyboard serving as a perfect distraction, however she couldn't escape what her fate would be.

History does have a tendency to repeat itself, and she knew that but this? This was just cruel. She didn't want to leave, she didn't want to go down the spiral she went down last time she was close to getting married. But, that was probably how it would turn out.

Either she would end up breaking up with him before he could even think of getting a chance to propose, or they would get engaged and she would pretend to be happy for the rest of their lives even though she would want nothing more than to run.

She sighed softly, and stopped playing the piano. It was pointless, it wasn't distracting her and all it was doing was keeping the dogs, and herself awake. It wasn't fair on the dogs, so she decided to go up to bed for at least a little bit of sleep.
However, her dreams weren't exactly what she wanted them to be.

She saw  a dream version Rosie and Sabrina sat on a couch, in a very, very pink room. Erin didn't recognize the place though.
Both of them gasped, but it was Dream Rosie who spoke first. "It looks perfect. I don't get what you were so worried about." She grinned, looking straight.
Dream Sabrina was looking in the same direction, excited. "You look really pretty." She agreed, grinning. "The dress really suits you." She enthused, and both girls were really excited. Erin couldn't help but wonder why they were wearing the same dress though, (although, in different colours.)

That was when Erin got to see this dress, and it was beautiful. It was lacey and elegant and just perfect for a wedding. She didn't have a problem with other people getting married, it was just herself. In her mind, she was still a young adult, even though she was closer to being an elder than being a young adult.
Erin continued to stare at the dress, until she caught a glimpse of the model's face in the mirror.

It was herself. She leaned in a little closer to check if it was really her. Yep, it was her. Same purple eyes, same blonde hair with her natural hair colour trying to come through. Same dragon tattoo on her arm, although that was kind of ruining the classy look. But, she wasn't as focused on what she was wearing, and more on what was happening.

Erin closed her eyes, hoping that if she kept them closed enough she would wake up again and realize that this, and the ring she saw was just a dream. "Just a dream. Just a dream." She mumbled to herself, hoping it would come true somehow. She didn't want to get married, even in a dream. Although, she had to admit that this dress was perfect, and she loved her hair that way.

"Are you okay, Erin?" Dream Sabrina asked, looking at her future mother-in-law with concern. Her and Connor didn't have any immediate plans, but it was almost inevitable.
"Yeah, you seem a little off." Dream Rosie frowned, seeming concerned too.
"I'm fine." She lied, she wasn't fine. What she wanted most right now was to wake up, she was really scared right now. Her nightmares were probably the most off from any other girl's nightmares could get.

"Wedding nerves?" Sabrina asked. "I'd be kinda nervous too. I mean, I'd be ready for it, but the line 'till death do us part'..." She bit her lower lip, "That's a long time." She murmured.
"Yeah, but her and my dad have been living together for ages." Rosie responded, smiling slightly. "They've pretty much spent all their adult lives living together."
Erin half smiled, rubbing the back of her neck, "Even though at first I was only going to stay for a couple of days." She explained, and couldn't help but find this a little weird. The point Dream Sabrina made was a lot like one she had been thinking about, it must have been just a coincidence.

"Its just got to be difficult to give up your independence." Sabrina murmured, another one of the reasons Erin never wanted to get married, she narrowed her eyes.
"It's different when you're in love though. If you love someone, independence is a small thing to give up, and you'd be happy to give it away." Rosie explain, and Erin just blinked at the two young adults.
"My angel and my devil." She murmured, her eyes going from the dream version of Rosie then to the dream version of Sabrina.

Erin moved to sit down on the couch, "So, what's with all the pink?" She asked quietly, a little confused. As far as she was certain, she would have prefered green over pink. It would be much more down to earth, and a lot less high school-ish.
"Blame the bridesmaid-zilla." Rosie murmured, and Sabrina glared at her.
"You shouldn't talk about your sister that way." She whispered to Rosie, then looked back at Erin. "The pink was Alyssa's idea. She pretty much planned the whole thing. She was really excited." She smiled.

"I'm keeping her away from my wedding." Rosie murmured, looking at Sabrina. "I want a very small wedding, and she'll end up blowing it was out of proportion." She shook her head a little at the idea.
"Its sweet." Sabrina smiled, "She just wants it to be perfect, that and she's never seen a wedding. Its really cute if you think about it."
"You've gone all mushy since you've been a mom." Rosie murmured.

"That's right, you and Connor have a baby girl, don't you?" She asked, smiling. It was a scary thought that she was already a grandmother, but at least her son made the right choice, and at least he was with a nice girl. Even though this was only a dream, Dream Sabrina still seemed pretty proud about it.
Sabrina nodded, "Yeah, a little girl called Loretta." She beamed. "Neither of us are all too sure who she looks like just yet, but we'll know soon enough." She smiled.

"It's weird, because sometimes I still see Connor as being really young. Its a really odd thing, but when I'm not thinking too much about it, in my head he's still young." She sighed slightly. "I guess time just gets away from you sometimes, doesn't it?" She murmured.
Sabrina nodded, frowning a little. "I've learned to just live in the moment now. Seeing as though I'm not going to live forever, there's no point thinking about things, or waiting or being afraid. If you want something, go for it." She smiled, and Erin realized just what Connor was on about all those times he said Sabrina was wiser than her age. She really was.

The door opened and closed, and Alyssa walked in, "Mom? Once you're ready the wedding can start." She folded her arms. She was wearing a different dress than Sabrina and Rosie because Alyssa called dibs on being the maid of honor.
Erin was thinking for a while about what Sabrina had said. Was there any point in being afraid anymore? She loved Thomas, and what was the point in being afraid? She and him have been living together all their adult lives.
Alyssa cleared her throat "Mom? There's this little thing going on, its called your wedding." She smiled bitterly, "Are you ready?" She asked again.

Erin stood up, and couldn't help but smile. Even though it was still a dream, she thought about all the sweet stuff Thomas has done to her over the years. Being there for her when she found out about Connor, getting a room specific for her music, convincing her that she wasn't that old, helping her out with Alyssa, being okay with the fact that she just casually brought home dogs one day, and even being willing to share his house with her, when he hardly even knew her.
She nodded, grinning. "I'm ready to get married." She whispered.

When she woke up again, she realized that maybe marriage wasn't as scary as it seemed. She knew she loved Thomas, and why wait? Sure, she had a bad experience with it when she was engaged to Alex all that time ago, but this was different.
She got out of her bed, and went into his room.

She went into his room, and sat down on her side of the bed. She usually would sleep in here, but she just wanted alone time last night. Erin couldn't help but smile slightly when she saw he was still asleep, how he ever woke up at five am, she'll never know.
"You look weird when you sleep." She grinned, waking him up.
"Huh?" He murmured. After recognizing what she said, he rolled his eyes, "Gee, thanks."
She laughed, "You know I'm only teasing." She smiled, and hesitated before saying, "I found the ring."

"The what?" He asked, confused for a moment. His eyes then widened after realizing what she meant. "You found that ring?" He sighed before continuing, "I got that forever ago, when I was a teenager. I got it for Roxie before she left." He frowned, but figured Erin was probably somewhat alright with it based on she was still here.
She laid down next to him, "So, its not for me?" She asked, and couldn't help but feel at least a little bit disappointed. She never really wanted to get married, or even engaged but that didn't exactly mean that she was happy that she wasn't.

"No, its not." He mumbled, wrapping his arms around her. "I know how you are with that kind of stuff, and I'm sorry I've not gotten rid of it."
She paused, before saying "You don't have to get rid of it."
"What?" He asked, confused.
"I've been thinking, and I think I've made my peace with marriage." She smiled softly.

"You're okay with getting married?" He asked, surprised to say the least.
She nodded, "Yeah, well, as long as it's to the right guy." She grinned, and kissed him quickly, "Like you."
"So... With the right guy, you'll be willing to get married?" He asked.
She laughed a little, "You make it sound as if its a forced thing." She grinned. "But, yeah. I'd be alright with getting married."

He had managed to discreetly get the ring out of the box from behind himself, and he asked her, "Will you marry me?" He looked at her, and he was fairly certain of the answer.
She smiled, and nodded, "Yes. I'll marry you." She grinned, and kissed him. She was honestly amazed she had managed to say those three words with actual meaning.
But this time... It was just different.

Meanwhile...

As Tyler was sat in the park, 'Alyssa' approached him. "Hey." She grinned, walking up to him. There was something different about her, but he wasn't all so sure what.
"Hey." He half smiled back at her, still curious about what it was, "What are you doing here?" He asked raising an eyebrow at her.
She smirked, "I want you." She walked over to him, grinning.

"What?" He asked, fairly certain he didn't hear her right. He wondered what it was that was different about her.
"You heard me, Ty. I want you, right now." She purred, looking down at him. "I haven't been able to get you out of my head since we had our night together."  Tyler began to figure out what was actually up with 'Alyssa' and he sighed.

'Alyssa' moved her hands up to his face, "I don't even care if people watch, or what they'll think of me. I want you now, Tyler. I need you." She moved forward to kiss him, but he moved out of the way.
He sighed, and rolled his eyes. "Very funny Bonnie."
She moved away, and there was a bright light and Bonnie stood where 'Alyssa' previously was.

Bonnie folded her arms, "You're no fun." She teased lightly, looking at him. "How did you know it was me?" She asked.
"Maybe because I heard you think 'this is so funny' and 'oh my God, he's actually falling for it', that and you called me Ty." He smirked, pointing out the flaws in her little prank.
"Smarty pants." She grumbled. "We should probably see Little Miss Slut Bunny too, on what we were talking about earlier."

"We'll go and see Alyssa, and don't call her that." He stood up, giving Bonnie a look. "And don't shapeshift in public either. It'll get too much attention." He warned.
She rolled her eyes "The Mist protects us, remember? No one will be able to see what we do."
"Still." He looked at her. "You shouldn't." He sighed. "C'mon, we'll go talk to Alyssa."
AN: A lot happened in this chapter...
I loved Erin's wedding dress, its a Sims version of Princess Kate's wedding dress. I added the gloves though, I thought that it would be better for her new tattoo on her hand. But, yay! They're getting married.
Also to do with her dream, they were in the room where the bride gets ready before walking down the isle, just incase that was unclear.
The scene with Bonnie and Tyler at the end will probably raise up questions that will be answered next chapter.

  1. So Erin actually freaked out over a ring that wasn't for her? Hehehe. That's great. The dream scene was great to, especially the roles Rosie and Sabrina had. And so it ends well for Thomas and Erin :)
Then Bonnie and Tyler does those...things they do... And to think I actually thought there was a chance an IF wasn't bad news.

    1. Its her ring now though ;) And she's not freaking out about it anymore. A nice little story all wrapped up :3
I'm glad you liked the dream scene, I honestly couldn't think of pros and cons to marriage (being below the legal age of marriage, I've had no experience in it.) And it does end happy for them.
We'll see about Bonnie and Tyler.

  2. Uh-oh, I'm getting a bad feeling about "Bonnie"... She'd better not be planning on stealing Alyssa's life or anything like that

The dream was really good and I'm glad Erin's happy to get married now

    1. That's a good idea, but unfortunately, its not this idea. Bonnie won't go stealing Alyssa's life, Alyssa won't let that happen.

Yay for Erin being alright with marriage! And yay for them getting married! Yays all around :)

  3. About time Erin finally dealt with her fear of commitment! Will we get to see the wedding?

I love that the IF's are shapeshifters! Great idea! but just what are Bonnie and Tyler up to?

    1. Yay! She's no longer scared of commitment. You'll get to see the wedding, but it won't be a big one.

Thank you, and it was the only idea that I could actually think of. I came up with it a while ago, and luckily I remembered it.

  4. Hmm, Bonnie/Lola makes me really suspicious. It looks like she really was the one that taught Alyssa that creepy song in back in toddlerhood. At least Tyler doesn't look too bad.

And I agree with Sunny, the idea that IF's are shapeshifters is pretty awesome!

    1. Tyler's not a bad guy, we'll be seeing a lot of him in the future ;) and I'm glad you're curious about Bonnie, it would be bad if you weren't.

I'm glad you like that idea :) I half regret putting in that end scene though, it seems to have taken away a lot from Erin and Thomas getting engaged.

  5. Hurray for Thomas and Erin finally getting married! I've been waiting for this moment for so long...

And I trust Bonnie/Lola even less now. I don't like her at all. Tyler does seem okay, though. Although I'm still wondering how they're connected.

    1. Yay getting married! And I'm glad you've been waiting for this moment.

Bonnie doesn't seem to have many fans... I'm glad you at least trust Tyler, and you'll find out more about them in the next chapter.

  6. Awww!! I'm glad Erin had a dream that bought her clarity :) and now she and Thomas can be all happy :D

Not liking Bonola (new nick haaaa) one bit, and really hating her after this chapter... So she shapeshifts which explains the whole being an IF before thing, but what exactly does she have against Alyssa? And who is Tyler in relation to her??

    1. Yeah, she got over her fear of commitment (and its about time)

Bonola... It kind of sounds like a desert. Like Banoffee. And about Bonnie and Tyler, that'll all come up in the next chapter about what they want from Alyssa

  7. bridesmaidzilla. teehee. I liked that.

I had a feeling all along that the ring was actually meant for Roxie. Which makes it doubly awful that he ended up proposing to her with another woman's ring! I'd've slapped him for that. lol.

Oh, I'm glad you said what room the dream took place in. I was really wondering.

    1. Lord knows what Alyssa may be like with her own wedding (if she ever has one)

I suppose though, it has been almost a lifetime since that ring was bought, so it had almost lost the meaning of who it was supposed to be for. (that's my views anyway. I think as long as the action is meaningful, it doesn't matter if a prop was for someone else)

I just assumed that the bride usually gets ready somewhere on site. I mean, it makes sense, right? Who would want a creased dress from sitting in a car and the possibility of your hair getting messed up when you could get ready while you're there?
